26th of February marked an important day for a select band of Peterites who were appointed as Prefects for the year 2020/21 at the investiture ceremony held that day. The event was graced by the rector Rev.Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo.
At the investiture ceremony the newly appointed senior and junior prefects pledged to serve their beloved alma mater and asked the blessing of God Almighty for their activities in the coming year. Rev.Fr. Rector addressed the gathering and spoke about how a leader’s main goal should be to make life comfortable for others. The outgoing Head Prefect, Mast. Dian De Silva and the incoming Head Prefect, Mast. Ovindu Atukorala also spoke during the event.
Prefects play an important part in the activities of our College mainly acting as role models for the students while also ensuring that high standards of discipline are maintained in school and making sure that College events run smoothly.
