Usually it was a ‘Day’ but this year it turned out to be a ‘Week’ with full of welcome atmosphere at the premises of the Primary School of St. Peter’s College, Colombo 04.
Three hundred and four little Peterites were welcomed throughout the week from 15th – 19th March this year in small batches, adhering to the government health instructions. The Rector Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo graced the occasion on all five days together with the Principal of the Primary School Rev. Fr. Milan Bernard, the Peterite Priests’ Community and the Headmistress of the Primary School Mrs. Priyanthi Perera.
The lucky freshers were extended a warm welcome as they entered into their second home dressed in their full uniforms with their proud and fortunate parents with accomplished and contented looks. It was indeed an amazing sight to witness the full-fledged budding Peterites marching enthusiastically along the path towards their citadel of education to spend their next thirteen years under the protection of St. Peter.
The Peterite family wishes them a happy stay at the College where they may make use of each and every opportunity for the development and formation of their characters, so that the society may be blessed with worthy citizens in future.
God may bless these new Peterites abundantly.
