The English Literary Association & Drama Society
A Junior Literary Union had been formed as far back as 1928 and a Music, Drama and Art Society had been started in 1939, both during the Fr. Nicholas Perera era and it is likely that the beginning of the English Literary and Drama Society as it exists now was in these two associations. The English Literary and Drama Society has made steady progress over the years appointing a new board at their Annual General Meeting.

The drama troupe has been performing at the All Island Inter School Shakespeare Drama Competition and have always had remarkable success. Throughout the third quarter, the Club conducts drama workshops which has an impact on the acting skills of many young Peterites.
